Strategies for Business Success

Dr. Persico has been in management consulting since 1986. He has worked with organizations in both the profit and non-profit sector. He has done extensive work in the area of quality improvement, service management, leadership development, team building and strategic planning. John has written two books on business strategy including the “TQM Transformation and “The New Business Values.” Organizations John has worked with include: Allina Health Care, The City of Minneapolis, American Express, The Printing Industry of Minnesota, Chevron Corp., The U.S. Navy, The U.S. Dept. of Defense, International Nickel Corp., Dominion Bridge Inc., Raychem Corp., Fletcher Challenge Corp., and Pillsbury Corp. John was selected as a member of an Executive Study Mission to Japan. With a group of twenty other managers from four different countries, he spent two weeks studying some of the leading organizations in Japan. He has visited and observed “Best Management Practices” in such countries as: Norway, Sweden, Germany, China, England and Switzerland. His work and studies have introduced him to the theories and practices of some of the leading management theorists of the twentieth century including such respected experts as: Dr. Yoji Akao, Dr. Robert E. Cole, Dr. W. E. Deming, Dr. Peter Drucker, Dr. Joseph Juran, Dr. Noriaki Kano, Dr. Henry Mintzberg, Dr. Kenichi Ohmae, Dr. Herbert Simon and Dr. Genichi Taguchi.
